The Karimoku Homerun chair obtains its character from cartoonish features that are translated into a delicate and elegant form. The legs mimic a baseball bat. They increase in size towards the bottom to give the chair a sturdy appearance but at the same time a playful expression. The child-sized version of the playful Homerun chair is replicated right down to the detailing. Homerun Kids Chair is suitable for children aged 3 to 5 (around 100 cm tall).
Measures 31 cm in width, 29 cm in depth and 42 cm in height.

Itaya Maple wood with a clear coating or oak wood with a transparant color and clear coating.

Karimoku is a manufacturer of wood furniture from central Japan with history of more than 70 years.
Their tradition derives of a deep understanding of carpentry craftsmanship combined with cutting-edge technologies to build furniture of the highest possible quality. Aiming to preserve and revitalize Japanese forests and resume a balance with local forest industry, the products are made using sustainably sourced Japanese hardwoods, such as maple, chestnut and oak-low-diameter trees that are often discarded or ending up as paper pulp. The furniture pieces are made to bring lasting joy, true to the credo that a piece of furniture should last at least as long as the tree it was made from.

Collaborating with some of the most promising international design talents, the brand launched Karimoku New Standard. This chair is designed by Sylvain Willenz. With an approach to design characterized by a clear inquisitiveness for products, industry and processes, Sylvain Willenz and his team work on various projects ranging from lighting to products, electronics and furniture. In 2009, Sylvain Willenz was nominated Belgian Designer of the Year.
