While visiting different mines she collected samples of the residu from the porcelain, copper an tin industries. The samples formed the base material for a ceramic paint that can be used to color porcelain. Stamped inside with KVN-NL/2015.
ø 22 cm.

Please be aware that this color is not suitable for liquid food.

Porcelain, inside colored with rough black Cornwall pigments and outside white.

Kirstie van Noort sees design as a way to communicate a certain process or the story behind a material. When she is intrigued by one of these a study starts by making detailed test and experiments. The outcome of the research could form the foundation of the concept behind a final product or result in the research itself.

Due to the rough texture of the paint on the inside of this plate it should not be cleaned with water.
