An iconic padded sofa designed by Cini Boeri for Arflex, available as a fixed or modular sofa. The main characteristic of the model is the fully removable quilted cover. The padding are an integral part of the cover, placed on a wooden frame, made by shaped polyurethane with differentiated density, to guarantee the best comfort of the seat. The Strips Modular Sofa has endless possibilities. This is one of them. The price on our webshop is based on a 2 elements sofa and T2 fabric. The 2nd picture shows this sofa. Base of metal and poplar plywood. Polyurethane with differentiated density and polyester fiber. Fully removable cover in fabric with polyester slip cover. Leather version not available. Fabric is combined with polyester and cotton fiber, in order to obtain a quilted cover. Feet in black lacquered metal and protective nylon glides.


At the beginning of the seventies, Architect Cini Boeri revolutionized the furniture market with her model, that becomes an “evergreen”: the modular sofas Strips , which belong to the history of arflex and it is really one of the most famous products. Designed in 1968, it awarded the prize Compasso d’Oro and it is displayed in several museums in the world, like for example the Triennale in Milan, in Tokyo, in Moma in New York, etc. Cini Boeri always tried to realize innovative ideas, to improve the quality of life and also the used materials were innovative for the furniture market.
