THE MATERIALS

THE MAKER

Jørgen Bækmark faced two challenges: first, to create a chair targeted at FDB Møbler’s more mature customers, and second, to make the most of the production methods that the factory in Tarm was so good at. His solution the J81 and the J80 chairs. Like the J81 and J82, the J80 has turned wooden bars and a steamed wooden back. It is adapted and adjusted to present-day sizes and seating comfort in collaboration with Jørgen Bækmark himself.
